Kings Park in Kowloon has been announced as the venue for the inaugural Hong Kong Rugby League Nines.
The current venue for Friday Night Lights, is set to host the largest festival of Rugby League Hong Kong has ever seen, featuring a six team open age Nines tournament, a Tag Rugby League competition and some inter-school games.
Kicking off at 9am on Wednesday, October 21, the event will take place during the Public Holiday for the Chung Yeung Festival.
HKRL Chairman James Hall couldn’t hold back his excitement announcing the date and venue for the event.
“It is fantastic to be able to announce what we hope will be the first of many Rugby League events to be held in Hong Kong.”
“Since the inception of the HKRL earlier this year, there has been a growing appetite for the sport within the region. “
“This event we hope will help not only satisfy that interest but help grow the Rugby League community”.
Partners for the event include Red Stripe, XBlades and the Pulse Bar.
