Oreana Storm to play in HKRL 9s and Super League 2018

Oreana Financial Services are proud to announce that they will be the sponsors of a new side being entered in the 2018 HKRL 9’s and 2018 Super League competition – the Oreana Storm.

Oreana is a big supporter of Rugby League having been involved in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup as the official partner of the Mate Ma’a Tonga Rugby League Team and is now involving itself locally and supporting the development of HKRL.

Matthew Jones, a specialist expatriate Wealth Advisor for Oreana, relocated from Australia to Hong Kong last year and completed his HKRL level 1 coach accreditation. He is a key part of the coaching staff for the Hong Kong International Rugby League team and will be heading up the new Oreana Storm this year.

The HKRL 9s will return in 2018 and will be held on Sunday May 27 at King’s Park, Kowloon and will once again feature both domestic and overseas teams. Oreana Storm are the first domestic team to confirm their entry and will be looking to take the crown from the incumbent champions Diamond Chiefs (PNG) in their debut tournament.
