The HKRL Battle of Origin returns this Saturday 24th June and will see the best of the ICG Super League come up against each other in a one-off game at King’s Park. Kick off is at 7.30pm.
Reflecting Hong Kong’s global population, this year’s edition will see one side representing the Northern Hemisphere take on another side representing the Southern Hemisphere.
“We’ve had two very good rounds of the ICG Super League so far, but this game will be a different beast altogether. Hong Kong is a city where people from all over the world come to live and work. Our player pool reflects this. As well as having a strong group of local, homegrown talent, we have players from all four corners of the world so our Origin game reflects this fact” said HKRL Chairman, Neville Metcalfe.
“We can’t wait for this fixture which will see the best from all four Super League teams drop their club colours for one game, represent where they are from and battle to be Origin winners for another year.”
